How short should you shave your sides for a mohawk?

I have one, but it was done for me with what I think was a #2 guide. I was wondering how short would be normal or best?
*Including no guide at all

all depends on your preferances, usually a #1 or 2. but if you’re still unsure, just cut it the longest length you think it is, and you can always make it shorter! then again, it always grows back. it just takes longer ^_^

on a shaver.. probably around 3!
